Severed

Severed my digits and then my hand
They weren't helping me to hold this sand
The harder I tried the more it slipped
And as it fell down my life just skipped.

I do everything I regret later
Used to be a lover but now I am a hater
The winds whisper omens to fill my mind
Who knows how my future will unwind.

I want to change things to return to my way
But things don't change only if you wish or say
The moment that you leave things for tomorrow
You agree to walk on the long lane of sorrow

It is wrong they say that time is money
You can always make more wealth and I find it funny
But time is a resource no one can get more
You can never get back the time you spent before.

Fortune favors the brave but time favors the awaken
The ones sleeping are left behind and are believed to be forsaken
Time is always the master and never a slave
So wake up and time will on its own make you brave.

I wanted to strike but the hammer was broke
I hit the anvil with my leg and now I have become a joke.
So will you learn from my mistakes that is it now or never
Or borrow my knife so you too can sever?
