The time is one big commodity
And getting bored is another oddity
When you have so much to do still you linger
Trying to pass time hearing some vocal singer.
You turn on the television, no show is coming
The old news and repeated programs are the only things running
Movies of sad old drama or pathetic romance,
Why don't they give dark humor a chance?
You play the same old games on the playstation
Finding another Galaxy in cosmic rotation
Beating Zeus again in the God of War
It used to be fun but after 26 times, it is no more.
Then you look outside for some fun
The heat is so much it will scorch you to a bun
The idea of playing with the dog is also good
But the stupid dog is sleeping after having his food.
Then strangely a thought comes in your mind with a glow
You start to learn something you previously didn't know
And it is so overwhelming to learn something you didn't before
That you fall asleep and the boredom is no more.
