8-year Olds

I am a human and I know it's every bore.
The monsters we hide behind our closet doors.
The times we fall, we count no more.
For we are tired of our fallen lores.

But times, they change, they seldom stay
Our monsters cry for us to slay
New ships and winds sail by our bay
And we write history with our today.

Among the cheers, our ears go lazy
For the people still crying," The world is crazy."
We grow out fur and our vision becomes hazy
While we all go hunting, feeling like Sniffing Daisy.

Only this time in Autumn, the leaves grow cold
I am a human and I know that we are old
But we always do need to get a scold
To remember that simply what glitters is gold.

So rise and fall all you must, I am no tool
I'll find some reason to stay out of school
And you know you'll follow any thumb rule
I am a human who'd only like to be The Fool.

My Dream of Dreams

I stay awake all day for the night to come
to go skinny dipping into my dreams
which take me to the clouds you are from
where moon comes visiting you in colorful streams.

I watch you looking away at the stars
while comfortably hiding behind the rock of doubt
where I wonder if this dream is together ours
whom I have been chasing throughout.

Words I can speak break and fall apart
along with the thoughts I have been holding.
But I feel another crease at my heart
so here I am at another letter's folding.

I leave it with a kiss on the altar of rocks
and exit the dream with a single want:
this paper shall unfold to become a boom box
music of my love with come to you with the font.

What they had said

As I recall, the trip was all good and grand
Though not exactly like the lot had planned
I can tell you all that happened, listen ahead
But I just can't remember what they had said.

The Saint always the quietest of them all.
Always thought about consequences of his fall.
He only wished some butter, for he already had the bread.
But I just can't remember what he had said.

The Dude wondered how long they'd had been walking.
But knew everything will stay fine if only they all kept talking.
Ask me about his pants all you want, instead
Because I just can't remember what he had said.

The Wise Guy's words must've been worth cowries
He kept thinking soon it would be all "Dark and trees."
If only he knew where his train of thoughts lead,
I bet even he can't remember what he had said.

The Fool always murmured about being right
Got tricked by his own brain, not too bright.
The others did protest when he started seeing red.
But I just can't remember what he had said.

They all parted ways after a while, like all do.
So no one knows what each did after the moon turned blue.
But in the end, if they sleep calmly in their bed.
Who would care to know what they had said?

Momo

Once she bitterly cried,
"How can you love someone when you have never even met them?"
He nonchalantly replied,
"Same way you get angry and cuss, scream and shout at them."

She slightly smiled,
"Estupido you are, that is not how it is!"
He lightly lied,
"If you say so, but don't you know ignorance is bliss?"

"Come to meet me, I wanna meet you, no?"
She interjected.
"No time, no time, I have many places to go."
He rejected.

"How I wish my Dodo would fly to my place."
She said airily.
"Dodos couldn't fly, you hippie nutcase."
He replied verily.

"Why don't you go and fly with your ex?"
He asked her, yawning.
"You won't understand, it's too complex."
She replied with a sting.

"I don't know what I want from all of this."
He told her with patience.
"If you want anything all you need is ask for it."
She told him with innocence.

He shook his head,
"I am even afraid to ask you my favorite color, really!"
She laughed instead,
"Of course I know it, it's red! I love you, silly!"

He stifled a smile,
"How can you love someone when you have never even met them?"
She replied with style,
"Same way you get angry and cuss, scream and shout at them."

H2O

Simply sleeping sometimes when out of options
If not for a red herring, or a lying blue moon.
Now and soon setting out with his stupid friends
Sometimes as late as morning break but now and soon.

Consistently challenging choices are his only problem
Maybe blue castle in water, maybe red pills to take him there.
The air is moist but the noises pull him down
And he wishes the noises away, wanting only the air.

Blindly blinking between relaxed eyes in the room
Till clouds become smoke and mirrors start lying.
Still flying with a heavy head from one to the other
Prying open opinions about falling and still flying.

Shooting stars start to rain but the moon-touched
Complains the crescent follows him over left, always in sight.
Each night maybe cold, shaking hands led them there
Maybe the semi-infinite dreams he saw each night.

A Paper Plane

No one wonders how long its been
They all have just left it alone
And even those who'd been checking in
Can't tell for sure if its found or sown.

A whisper too sweet, a wish too kind
Maybe its all just trial and error
No promise too keen, no faith too blind
Certainly no thing that would scare her.

Some say don't tell anyone anything
Till you know its the right day
Winter, summer, autumn or spring?
They don't know, still, some say.

To spill all out, some do advice
She might like it fair and square
And if she doesn't like to be precise?
Then they don't know and they don't care.

So take a breath, actually gulp a few
Alone you have to get your Jane
And although I too have no clue
Might I suggest, a love letter in a paper plane?

The Antumbra

There is no light that comes from the shadow
Children are calling to fly with the mother sparrow
But the sun is down for now his time is over
Sparrow got lost in the light in which the sun drove her.

The reign of the shadow again comes to life
The vile creatures are set free to spread all strife
No help will come, no friends will hold you dear
The umbra shall rule your mind, until you fight the fear.

The halo of an angel if seen in the light
Turn away, its shadow brings death in the night
No angel comes in life there are only blank faces
And we get deluded by the light the blankness graces.

The shadows of the highest are the longest falling
Never have the highest heard the small one's calling
Step into the sun, on the lines of its greatest rage
Never again will you complain of being locked in a safe cage.

Everything is fine till you want to destroy the dark
It only makes the light worth, it brings the song of the lark
Where else will you make it happen, when else will it sing
Know that in the realm of the darkness, the shadow is the king.

So come within the antumbra before the final trials
The darkness promises you water from a thousand Niles
Its not the time to choose, but if you want it the hard way
Step into the light and suffer and just nevermind what I say.
