As I recall, the trip was all good and grand
Though not exactly like the lot had planned
I can tell you all that happened, listen ahead
But I just can't remember what they had said.
The Saint always the quietest of them all.
Always thought about consequences of his fall.
He only wished some butter, for he already had the bread.
But I just can't remember what he had said.
The Dude wondered how long they'd had been walking.
But knew everything will stay fine if only they all kept talking.
Ask me about his pants all you want, instead
Because I just can't remember what he had said.
The Wise Guy's words must've been worth cowries
He kept thinking soon it would be all "Dark and trees."
If only he knew where his train of thoughts lead,
I bet even he can't remember what he had said.
The Fool always murmured about being right
Got tricked by his own brain, not too bright.
The others did protest when he started seeing red.
But I just can't remember what he had said.
They all parted ways after a while, like all do.
So no one knows what each did after the moon turned blue.
But in the end, if they sleep calmly in their bed.
Who would care to know what they had said?
