A journey to a place unknown
Nothing written on any milestone
Started it with a handful of questions
But no directions, only some suggestions.
Questions bring questions, no answer
I try desperately like a limp dancer
The music plays on but I have to walk
The destination is unknown, no time to talk.
People come and go but the road stays
And unlike them it only points two ways
One is the right and other is wrong
But at least I know the side I belong.
I saw an old signboard from far
Shining with the light of the polestar
When I went close to get some help
All it said was "Sorry, B. I love someone else"
Sad moment for B. but I had to go
No time to care for someone else's woe
Maybe the next sign would take me right
Till then I moved with the polestar's light.
A journey to a place unknown
Nothing written on any milestone
I don't know where this journey will end
But don't worry, Ma, I will be home by the weekend.
